AYA Adventures

Cancer changed your life. Now it's your turn.

Go For It!

Take a look at some of the following sites offering details about excursions, nature explorations and personal challenge events for young cancer patients and survivors. Meet others your own age who are going through or went through similar experiences. Learn more about yourself in the process, too. Many of these treks provide partial or full registration fees paid for, so check the details on each for more information.

Provides life-changing, outdoor adventures for young adults impacted by cancer. Through outdoor adventures, skills development, and local adventure communities FD improves the long-term survivorship of young adults impacted by cancer. Our participants experience free outdoor adventure programs that empower them to climb, paddle, and surf beyond their diagnosis, reclaim their lives, and connect with others doing the same.

Offers free week-long outdoor experiences to individuals (18+ years old) who have been diagnosed with cancer. Experiences are based upon outdoor adventure activities such as white water adventures during the summer months, and snowshoeing and cross country skiing during the winter months. Participants will be encouraged to recognize the reality that cancer is a part of their story, but it no longer defines them. Connections with other individuals who share a similar story will create a community that lasts long after their Epic Experience has ended.

Treks are typically offered as either a full week in the backcountry wilderness, or a long-weekend at a beautiful retreat facility with day excursions into nature.
